Aberdeen City Council (ACC) have invited all Community Councils (CC) to submit a Local Place Plan (LPP) which lists their aspirations and proposals regarding their local spaces and buildings which would be controlled by the Planning Application Process. These plans would feed into the Aberdeen Local Development Plan (ALDP) due for issue in 2028 and intended to cover the 10 years to 2038. Cults, Bieldside and Milltimber is one of three CCs that intends to submit a light LPP which may take 6 months+ to prepare.

Our first step in the process is to carry out a residents’ survey to get as many suggestions and as much feedback as possible before drafting an LPP document.

This questionnaire is in two parts and aims to gather:

– Part 1: Your opinions on several proposals which were already listed in the CBMCC Local Plan prepared in 2021, but which today remain unrealised.

– Part 2: New suggestions from you for use of existing or development of new spaces and buildings in the CBM area. These suggestions should define as a minimum the What and Where, but do not need to define the Who or How.

This questionnaire should take you about 10 minutes to complete depending on how much detail you wish to give. Part 1 must be completed first before moving on to Part 2.

This form collects email addresses. There is a small chance that you may be contacted for the purpose of clarifying your additional ideas in Part 2, if required. All responses will be collated, analysed and grouped into themes for evaluation by the Community Council sub-group, and a shortlist of proposals prepared for inclusion in a draft LPP which will be circulated for consultation and comments by neighbouring CCs, Councillors and ACC. Once comments have been addressed, a final LPP will be issued to and registered by ACC and, of course, made available to all residents in the CC.
