For the 2 weeks starting 5th and 12th January, there were 9 new planning applications in Lower Deeside ward, of which 4 were in the CBM area:-
-A single storey side/rear extension at 238 North Deeside Road, Milltimber.
-Relocation of an external condenser compound at Simeon House Bieldside
- Change of house types at plots 6, 7 at Culter House Road, Milltimber
-Single storey extension at 2a Golfview Road, Bieldside.
On 5th January, the Case Officer for the application 251313/DPP, Residential development of 103 units, including development of link road and road bridge, agreed to extend the deadline for comments submitted by CBMCC till 30th January to allow the CC to discuss the application at its monthly meeting on Thursday 22nd January.

There were 3 new applications for the week commencing 22nd Dec 2025-

-1 application for construction of a car park at Countesswells playing fields
-1 application for erection of a dwelling house and subdivision of feu at 1 South Avenue, Cults.
For week commencing 15th December there were 2 new planning applications:-
-Protected tree works at 315 North Deeside Road Cults
-Retention of temporary food kiosk and outdoor seating at the Former Cults Station for 12 months.
CBMCC submitted neutral comments on application 251233/DPP for the demolition and replacement of the dwelling house at 47 Cults Avenue.
The application for the development by CALA of 103 housing units and a link road with road bridge on land at Inchgarth was validated by ACC on 4th December, and is open for comments submission until 19th January.
CBMCC will review carefully the submitted documents. and plans to discuss the matter at our next monthly meeting on 22nd January. We will request an extension to the submission deadline of 19th Jan in order to do this properly.

Kirkwood Homes: Former Milltimber Primary School, Aberdeen
I would like to take this opportunity to let you know that Kirkwood Homes is bringing forward
plans for a new residential development at the former Milltimber Primary School site, Monearn
Gardens, Aberdeen. As part of the proposals, we are hosting a public consultation event on
Wednesday 29 October from 3:30-7:30pm at Deeside Christian Fellowship Church (Binghill
Drive, Milltimber, Scotland, AB13 0JE).
Proposed development
The proposal is a residential development at the former Milltimber Primary School site,
comprising approximately 30 new homes, with seven allocated as affordable housing.
This development presents a unique opportunity to revitalise the former primary school site,
which has remained vacant for many years. We recognise the importance of making positive
progress here and intend to bring forward proposals that respond to that need, while also
delivering high-quality new homes that respect the character and setting of the area.
At Kirkwood Homes, we are committed to early and meaningful engagement with the local
community and key stakeholders. To support this, we will be holding a public consultation event
on Wednesday 29th October at the Deeside Christian Fellowship Church (Binghill Drive,
Milltimber, Scotland, AB13 0JE) from 3:30-7:30pm.
The consultation event will offer the local community a chance to view the proposals, speak
directly with the project team, and provide feedback. For those unable to attend in person, all
consultation materials and an online feedback form will be available on our dedicated project

We will be present at a Convention of Community Councils of Aberdeen City, Aberdeenshire and Angus to be held at Stonehaven Town Hall on 11th October to discuss concerns about renewable energy projects and major energy infrastructure projects across the North-East of Scotland.
