Phone and Internet Scams

Abiola Abimbola helps the CBMCC keep residents safe from online and phone predators. Protect yourself by being extremely wary about giving money to anyone upfront for goods or services. If someone claims to be an official double check their identity - but don’t do so using any contact details they give you. Pressure is used as a tactic by scammers - don’t be pressurised into making a decision. Always take time to think.

Footpath Group

The Footpath Group, led by Christine Taylor, is an active group which publishes local walks, organises working groups, raises access issues and contributes to planning issues.

Heritage Group

The CBMCC works to preserve and celebrate the area's heritage.

More Blooms in Cults Bieldside & Milltimber

Graham Payne initiated this project in 2014 to bring some flower power to the area, thanks to generous donations by local residents and watering by volunteers. Cyril Bruce now leads the team in 2024.

Christmas Lights

Lindsay Davidson initiated this project in 2016 to bring Christmas lights to the area. Starting with just 2 lights, we now install 48 every year, thanks to the generosity of residents and sponsors. A Switch-on event takes place at the end of November, supported by Aberdeen Deeside Rotary.

Carols in Cults

For many years Eleanor Brennan has organised a community Carol Event outside the Cults Hotel usually on the first or second Monday in December, supported by our local churches and the Aberdeen Deeside Rotary. Over the last few years CBMCC has also supported Cults Parish Church Christmas Tree Festival by sponsoring and decorating a Christmas Tree

MBC Festival

The year 2020 marked 45 years since the very first MBC Festival but, sadly, the event has been retired due to lack of interest and volunteers.

Litter Picking

CBMCC has organised a number of Litter Picking campaigns over the years.   These have in the main been carried out along the Old Deeside Railway line,  along the North Deeside Road and around Cults Primary School.
